Templin State School

Templin State School at the Templin Historical Museum

The land on which the single roomed school was built was given to the education department by local resident Wilhelm Zerner in 1890. It cost 24 pounds ($48) to clear the heavy scrub and 620 pounds ($1,240) to build, of which the local settlers had to raise 20 percent. The school opened in 1892 and closed in 1974.
